So sad, but it’s already the last day of this amazing Shero trend trip in New York City. For the last day I enjoy the lovely breakfast in the hotel.

Today we visited the third, and last Shero of this trip; Miriam Millord. She is the owner of a little cute bakery in Brooklyn called “BcakeNY”. She makes cakes for a lot of celebrities and she is very big on Instagram. (@BcakeNY) It’s really amazing how beautiful these cakes are! So much details! Miriam was very nice and kind and she even gave me a little tour in the kitchen. It was really great to see the creative process of these cakes. And off course we got to do some tasting! Loved it!

After that, the big surprise of the trip got revealed! The fun experience was going to be a helicopter ride over New York City! It was AMAZING! OVERWHELMING! I can’t describe how great that experience was! Absolutely unforgettable!!!

After that it was time to relax. We had lunch in another cute Italian restaurant. Great pasta’s and great wine. We also had a great view, so we dicideds to make some lovely pictures together with the whole group.

After lunch, we had two hours free-time, so I went to Sephora. Got a little crazy there, and spend too much money on make-up there! ; – ) After that we walked trough Soho for a little while.

Time to get our bags in the hotel, and leave towards the airport. I realise this amazing, unforgettable trip is almost ending. While typing this, I’m on the airplane and we land in two hours. Then I’m back in Amsterdam. I feel sad that it’s over but I cherish every moment of this trip. It’s definitely been one of the best experience of my whole life! Thank you Hunkemoller for being your reporter on this trip! NEW YORK CITY YOU ARE AMAZING!!!

Fabienne

After only 3 hours of sleep (biggest jetleg ever!) I was ready for a new day in New York City!

After breakfast we went to the office of the first Shero of this trip: Kerin Rose. She’s a sunglasses designer and made sunglasses for big names like Lady Gaga, Rihanna and Beyoncé. What an inspiring woman! And she rocked her orange hair! Her collection only has one of a kind pieces! (http://www.a-morir.com)

After lunch, I had the pleasure to interview Sylvie! (here is the link of the interview for my dutch readers: http://www.hunkemoller.nl/nl_nl/blog/exclusive-interview-sylvie-in-ny/) She was soooooo nice! And her new collection, which is inspired on New York City is just amazing! A lot of lace, petrol and exciting straps! It will be launched in November!

After the interview a big white limousine picked us up and brought us to a spa to getting a pedicure! How great!!  I felt like a superstar!

“Shero Trend Trip NY” Day 1

I’ve had the best three days of my life! Hunkemöller invited me to be their reporter on their “Shero trend trip” in New York city! Link to my blog for the dutchies/ link naar mijn blog op Hunkemöller voor mijn Nederlandse lezers: (http://www.hunkemoller.nl/nl_nl/blog/shero-trend-trip-ny-day-1)

The big day has dawned: After a night with little sleep I was totally ready for this trip! Hunkemöller invited me to be their reporter on the Shero trend trip in New York City! My bags are packed and with this river of emotions coursing through my veins I leave towards the train station.

When I arrive at the station I got this little panic-attack. There are no trains going to Utrecht, so it’s getting hard to arrive at the Airport in Amsterdam on time. But, I had this great Back-up plan! My best buddy Mark is driving me to the airport so I’m still right on time! On the airport I meet up with Lucette from mooi PR, Joanne from Glamour magazine and Gabrielle from Cosmopolitan magazine. Te four of us had a great connection right from the beginning!

When we dropped off our luggage we drank a cup of tea at the airport and I bought my favorite parfum From Narciso Rodriquez tax-Free.

Time for boarding! The flight time to New York is about 8 hours, but after a little sleep and three movies, time is flying by and before I know, we arrive at the airport.

We got pick-uped by a big, black suburban car by “Nelson” our private driver and we went to the beautiful Somo Hotel in Soho. We had an hour to fresh- and dress-up for diner. When I opened my hotel door I was in shock! How nice is this room! I love it! And as an extra surprise there was a goodiebag on my bed! There was a cute little pajama in it, and some beauty products. So I took a quick shower, I putted my little black dress and high heels on and I was ready to goooooo!

In the hotel lobby two girls from Germany and one from Austria and Belgium met up with us. We drank a lovely glass of champagne together and enjoyed a delicious diner!

What a great first day in this amazing city it was! I enjoyed every minute of it! Time to sleep, tomorow a new day, full of new adventures! Night night!
